Description: Project involved the upgrading of protection and control relaying for a large steam turbine generator.
Scope of Work: Developed engineering drawings for the protective relaying upgrades of a 430MVA steam turbine generator. Detailed design included replacement of several dozen single-element electromechanical relays with redundant microprocessor-based relays, protection element calculations, relay programming, and DCS interfacing.
